ABOUT ANGELA DERECAS TAYLOR
Angela is a writer, storyteller, event planner and community advocate who was born and raised in 1960’s Greenwich Village. For twenty years she traveled extensively and lived in many exotic locations while pursuing her career in catering and event planning on private luxury yachts, in grand resorts and historic hotels including the Waldorf-Astoria. Shortly after 9/11, Angela left the hospitality industry and currently, she serves as the Executive Aide and Community Relations Advisor to the Mayor of New Rochelle. Angela regularly attends and participates at several open mic and storytelling events in Westchester and New York City including The Moth and 650: Where Writers Read. She has been published in the Westchester Review and the 650: From A to LGBTQ chap book.
